My 'natural' life began in the most natural way, i.e. being born at home. Maybe that's why I've always had this penchant for staying the way I was born. But then, we're all born the same way. 

This all took place in western NY state, but lasted a very short time, about 5 months. We then moved to the natural beauty of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Probably another reason for my desire to live naturally was the sea. Some say that we all have a bit of the sea in our veins. I just like being completely surrounded by it without the obstruction of fabric. I remember writing a little poem early one morning sitting on the sand near the ocean waves:

SUNRISE

Naked I sit,

before the sun,

warm of heart,

but cold of bun.

Having moved for the first time when I was five months old, moving also became part of my regular existence. My current address is the 39th in the span of my 58 years! These are all addresses where I've either registered to vote, receive mail, or both. Legal addresses. I've only lived on two continents (North America and Europe), but I've visited two more of the seven: Africa and Asia. One of my dreams is to visit all seven, but the most improbably is Antarctica.

After we moved to Cape Cod, we subsequently bought a small 'camp' (Cape terminology for cottage) on the outer beach and it was there that I was first able to have a naked vacation. Then when I was at university I had a friend whose family was nudist and they had a swimming pool - that was great, too!
